🔴⚪️ Derry v Tyrone ➖Red & White GAA Day 🔴⚪️
To mark the Ulster Championship Quarter Final between Derry & Tyrone this Sunday 1st May, past pupils Niall O'Donnell, Eunan Crozier & Ronan Devlin along with Ballinderry team mate Ruairi Forbes made a special visit to Derrychrin Primary School this afternoon with the MacRory Cup.
We were also fortunate to have All Ireland Club winning coach with Kilcoo & past pupil Conleith Gilligan along with the Andy Merrigan & Seamus McFerran Cups in attendance.
It was great to see our pupils wearing their Derry and Tyrone jerseys/tops, red and white clothing/GAA jerseys to celebrate the day.
To start the morning, our P5 to P7 pupils received their weekly coaching with Ulster GAA Council coach Michaela outdoors in the glorious sunshine. In the afternoon, the pupils had a Question and Answer session with our guests who recalled many positive memories and experiences from their time at Derrychrin. The super advice the children received will hopefully inspire them for great things in their own futures on and off the sporting field. The children also got an opportunity for photographs with our guests and the trophies.
We would like to take the opportunity to wish our past pupils Gareth McKinless (current Derry player) and Enda Muldoon (Derry selector/coach) good luck on Sunday.
We would also like to offer best wishes to past pupil Tiarnan Rocks and fellow Ballinderry club mates Ruairi Forbes and Eoin McCracken who are part of the Derry Minor squad all the best in their upcoming Ulster Semi Final game v Donegal.
Thank you to our past pupils for attending today and for being wonderful ambassadors and role models for our children and the Ballinderry community.
