Congratulations to all the P7 pupils from both Parish schools Derrychrin PS and Ballylifford PS, who received the Sacrament of Confirmation this evening. Bishop Michael Router, Fr. Donnelly and Fr. Juan were so full of praise of all the children, parents and family members in attendance. The children were terrific with their readings, prayers, singing, music and responses. It was lovely to have parents and siblings come together again post-COVID to celebrate the special occasion. We had other family members who were unable to attend view the ceremony on the Parish webcam.
Thank you to P7 class teacher Mr O'Neill and teaching assistant Keelin for preparing them so well for the ceremony and producing wonderful artwork on display in the Chapel and school hall.
A massive thank you to Miss Hughes who prepared the children superbly in all choir practices and for their beautiful singing this evening. Miss Hughes along with Donal Canavan prepared the instrumental group in performing their beautiful Music. A special mention to all the teachers, teaching assistants and school staff for supporting them on their faith journey during their time at Derrychrin PS.
