After Schools Club Programme 2023-2024
Dear Parent/ Guardian,
The After School Clubs programme has been finalised for the year ahead. We have a fantastic programme for the year ahead with specialist coaches and leaders in a variety of inclusive and diverse activities to provide for all our pupils.
- Term One will consist of non-sporting activities (Drama, Digital Musicians and Fit Futures).
- Term Two will consist of sporting activities (Fit Futures, Mixed Martial Arts, Tri-Golf and Multi-Sports)
- Term Three will be GAA activities (Camogie, Girls Gaelic Football and Boys Gaelic Football)
Registration for Term One is currently open with access available on the school website homepage. A maximum number of places are available for each After School Club, so it will be a first come first served basis so we would encourage bookings ASAP.
If you would like your child to attend any After School Club, please select the After School Club you wish to book for your child and also complete the digital consent form by entering your child's details and inform the school if your child is walking home or being collected. Please only opt to let your child walk if your child can do so safely. The clubs will run from 3:00-4:00pm.
Payment for all clubs can be made week commencing 23rd October using our new cashless payment system ‘School Money’ which by then will be in operation. Further information on the clubs in Term Two and Three will be issued in paper format to all parents/guardians and will also be added closer to the website closer to the time.
CRAIC Theatre
‘Wee Craicers’ focuses on technical theatre and theatre skills. Classes are structured so skills and self-confidence are developed through games, workshops and performance.
Matt Fiddes Martial Arts Life Skills
The sessions will include agility, teamwork, coordination and balance amongst many others; they will be a fun and safe introduction into the world of Martial Arts providing the students with the following benefits that we know Martial Arts can provide self-belief, improved focus & discipline respect and goal setting.
Eamon McGarrity Music
Provide the children with opportunities to develop their ICT skills through GarageBand and discover how music is created using virtual instruments. Eamon has previously produced fantastic school leavers videos with our P7 children across a four-week period.
Fit Futures
Fit Minds coach and founder Ronan Conlon provides many wonderful opportunities and activities for all children in a diverse and inclusive setting. Please see attached video.
*Please refer to Term One to Term Three timetables sent home in paper format with selected dates, coaches, and location for each class*.
Many thanks
